The pride of Canada, Richie Hawtin, has always been at the forefront of music/DJ technology. He was part of the development team and the figurehead of Final Scratch (bonus points for anyone that remembers the original OS that Final Scratch was designed for), and now he's championing a new technology.
I remember not so long ago how fierce the vinyl vs. cd battle was... then maybe a year ago how heated the vinyl/CD vs Serato got... then how people looked down on Ableton performances, referring to those performances as '1 hour of checking your e-mail'...
Some interesting points here... and the bottom line here is, if you don't embrace the future, you'll be stuck in the past.
